Those shows are okay I guess but don't you all think that the Gucci and Louboutin platforms are the way to go this fall? Very expensive, sure, but you only live once.

ewww, i'm sorry to say but i don't like the prada leopard print shoes. I recently did a post on my fashion blog about animal prints, and this would be a definite don't. I love you blog though, you should check out mine.

Well, I, for one, also think they're super fantastic. Also fun, frivolous and fancy (thanks to the snappy gold detailing). If I had lots of money, I'd buy them in a minute – they look like something I should have.

The platform wedge would not be as hard to walk in as a stiletto, and the heel isn't really that high, thanks to the 1" platform beneath the ball of the foot. They aren't comfy tennis shoes, by any means, but they don't look like foot torture to me!

Could this shoe be defined as elegant, or chic? I think not.

As a piece of sculpture, indeed it's fabulous. As something to traipse about town in, not so much. Miss Janey adores the leopard print and hopes to see this copied in a more manageable height. While Miss Janey considers herself a SUPERFOX sadly, she is NOT a SUPERMODEL living her life on the runway.

Jess, I think you're right about the definition of a clog. I see this shoe and think wedge platform, not clog. But semantics, eh. I wouldn't call these *super* impractical - certainly more useful than a stiletto version of the same shoe! I agree the leopard print might limit its use in a formal office setting, but why couldn't they be useful for around town on the weekends or after work?

This brings me to the question: what classifies a shoe as a clog? I was under the impression that clogs are shoes without a heel that much higher than the toes (so it could be a platform, but could not be a steep incline) that has no back and no strap to hold it on the foot.

The shoe above doesn't work with that definition, but is still a clog somehow - did I get it wrong?

Oh my darling Manolo, it is truly a super-fantastic shoe! Unfortunately, it has the super-fantastic price to match. Do you have any similar recommendations for us working girls on a modest budget?
