Suma,

My only caveat regarding most shoes marketed at "wide", is that for many of us with EEE or wider feet, that "wide" isn't wide enough.

My casual loafers are Cole-Haan, from before the time Nike wrecked the company. My dress shoes, Italian loafers, and deck shoes are A-E. My sport shoes are New Balance.

I only raise this because, for my feet, I have found that Hush Puppies, Rockport, and Timberland are all too narrow, even in their "wide" versions. But I spent nearly a decade in a pair of EEE Florsheim wingtips, so Elayne, there is hope.

Oh, and popular with the military and police set, excellent patent leather shoes can be found through Bates in a variety of widths. But I haven't bought a set since I was in high school.

Um...Style Graduate, Manolo wasn't holding O.J. up for emulation, he was making reference to the one and only time Bruno Magli shoes have entered the world of pop culture.

People are so quick to criticize.

I think 775 pairs of shoes in a men's sizes 14 MW would be sufficient for Tracie's stepfather, don't you think? Bruno Magli, Allen Edmonds or even Florsheim for dress shoes; Hush Puppies, Rockport or Timberland for comfortable everyday shoes; New Balance, Skechers or Saucony for athletic shoes....you can pretty much find all of these and more at Shoebuy:

Dear Manolo,

I am not certain that O.J. Simpson should be held up as an example, even if he did wear stylish shoes. Surely there is another famous individual with big feet who wore Bruno Magli, one more deserving of emulation!

Holy cow! OJ was only a size 12?! My 12 year old son is, as we "speak," wearing a mens' 13.5. (He's about 5'7" and the doctor says he's got at least another foot to grow.) Lord, I'm in for trouble. I don't wanna pay for custom made Italian shoes for a kid who can't remember where he put his PopTart!!

Might this humble commentor also direct the attention of the inquirer towards the full line of Allen-Edmonds?

That firm has successfully shod these ultra-wide feet for several years now.
