Hancock is a Rom himself and writes beautifully from the inside of the Romani culture and experience. Highly recommended. I saw the author of "Bury Me Standing" at the Smithsonian about 10 years ago and she had some amazing stories about the Romany she lived with. Rome is also a most excellent DVD series. Full of the intrigue and steamy sex scenes all set in the super fabulous Ancient Rome!! Sadly, Rome is not known for the spectacular shoes but the rest of the costumes are worth it! Super fantastic reading material and DVD selection!! I saw the author of “Bury Me Standing” at the Smithsonian about 10 years ago and she had some amazing stories about the Romany she lived with.
