<description>My dearest Manolo, You seem to be a bit under whelmed by PR this season and while I've heard good things about "Dead Like Me", her Ladyship would like to suggest "Signe Chanel" on the Sundance Chanel for your viewing amusement. 2 episodes have already aired but knowing your great fondness for Monsieur Lagerfeld I think you would be glued to the set. It takes you inside the Chanel atelier and follows the creation of a collection from sketches to the final runway show. One is permitted to see the beast, er um, master at work as well as see the petit mains who make the real magic happen at work. And frankly, with PR winding down to a bland finish it's refreshing to see the haute couture version. The similarities are striking as are the differences. It's like PR except the dressmakers can really sew and the final designs I assume will be as spectacular as is usual for the house of Chanel. It's also fun to watch for the picture of Karl done up as Coco Chanel that hangs in the directors office. When KL is sitting under it in one shot from last weeks episode you'd swear it was him in drag.
