They are the shoes she wears when the doors swing open and she first glimpses our cowboy hero! As for La Viatrix herself, she is torn: cannot decide whether she likes them or not! Her whimsical little heart finds a soft spot for them, perhaps because they might come with a wonderful cowboy hero of her own? Fortunately, the veto power is held by her significantly less whimsical and graduate student-sized pocketbook, and by the fact that the shoes of the saloon soundstage would not serve so well in the laboratory. ………Aha! All is now clear.
