What the Manolo Is..
Manolo says, it is Tuesday, time to see what the Manolo is…
The Manolo has now seen two episodes of the Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and his reaction to this show has been rather odd. On the one of the hands, the Manolo has found all of the characters to be unlikeable and unpleasant, and the dialogue and the situations to be overly contrived, and yet, on the other of the hands, the Manolo feels compelled to watch the next episode.

I know what you mean–last night I kept thinking I’d turn off TV and go read my book, but I kept watching. Mostly I was hoping the writers would be wise enough, and funny enough, to showcase Matthew Perry’s perfect comic timing. It didn’t happen.
Since I always enjoy your Project Runway reviews (and pretty much everything else you write), let me share my humble Studio 60 review: http://funkyfatgirl.blogspot.com/2006/10/words-fail-and-things-get-interesting.html#links (it’s after the Little Miss Sunshine review.)
Yes I know I feel the same exact way, I keep hoping that it will pick up. The storyline is actually good and its different from all the other new tv shows.
Hey did anyone catch VMars last night?
You know, that’s exactly how I feel. I alternate between muting and unmuting it while I sit at my computer surfing the net, and each week feel strangly obligated to tune in.
oh thankgoodness I am not going cookoo. I have a wierd feeling about this show too and could not describe it –but the Manolo has hit the nail with the head! –or vice versa. I just keep thinking surely there is a point to all of this and the lines will connect–sooner rather than later.
The super fantastic Manolo should consider watching the “Dexter” on Showtime. It stars the gay Fisher son from the 6 feet under and is a total hoot.
