While the Manolo found the digital effects in the Flyboys movie, the Manolo has to say that James Franco is not all that. Indeed, although he looks heavenly, in the James Dean-ish sort of way, he was perhaps also the worst thing about the whole movie, and is simply the mediocre actor.
Hmmm, I think Franco did play Dean on some made for TV biopic. I haven’t seen Flyboys, but I always liked Franco as Harry Osborne in the Spiderman movies. I loved him on Freaks and Geeks, the doomed NBC show. It was a show that was simply too good to stay on television
Hmm…I did notice something of the sort. It must have been pretty egregious, because it’s my tendancy to hear nothing but “Dreamweaver” every time he opens his mouth.
That is one of my favorite Aretha albums. As usual… well done.
I am sorry to hear that, because the writing and directing on Freaks and Geeks made him shine as a performer. But perhaps he is not yet at a point in his art where he can transcend the mediocre material. Still most likely the Dowdydiva family will see this movie at some point for Mr. Dowdydiva is quite the war buff.
