Bizarre. Bizarre enough that I had to go hunt out more info! It is, actually, supposed to be an art piece, of sorts – it’s one of a set of short films that were created as part of an Olympics sponsorship. (link)

Ok, I get it, she is pimping some sort of weak aerobic work out, extolling the vitures of exercise and strength training.

But what is with the creepy CGI-esque poodles? Perhaps in her fat days, her poodles were her only friends, and now they are her only creative partners?

It’s a spoof of the Susan Powter videos! It’s got her logo with the spikey hair and the before picture with the lost look on her face! Very funny! I don’t get the poodles, though. Oh, well.

    Hilarious! Thank you, Manolo.

I have been on the Internet for 13 years now, and that is possibly the strangest thing I have seen to date.

BIZARRUS CANIS! Whoo, do I feel better now, as I finish my buttered biscuit. (Strangely calming effect.)

Maybe it’s also a comment on the bizzare things people do to poodles. I had never noticed before that the puffs on poodles are in places where people would like big muscles if they stood up…

She’s an ice skater, right?? The only thing that could possibly explain it is the “art piece” idea.

As a professional costumer, if it’s actually a workout video, my first thought is that she is just so thin that they had to come up with SOMETHING, anything, to not make her look like an anorexic stick, and the concept got way outta hand. Perhaps recreational drugs were also involved. I am very impressed with the CGI doggie heads.

It can’t be real. It has to be art. It is, even if it isn’t! It’s weird and wonderful like a Spike Jones video or something.

The point is that our days of poodle-envy are over! Now you too can be cut like a poodle-even if you don’t have the hair!

“I had never noticed before that the puffs on poodles are in places where people would like big muscles if they stood up… ”

That sort of relates to why the puffs are there in the first place. Poodles are “working dogs” and were originally trained to chase after prey on hunts, etc. Two problems arose. First, their curly hair got snagged on underbrush. Second, they needed their joints and muscles kept warm. The solution that evolved was the poodle cut, and if you ever see a large standard poodle that isn’t being poofed up for show, it will be really evident — especially since you already figured it out from this video.

So technically speaking, are the poufs ladies’ accessories or just poodle accessories?
