Thank God Judith is here to remind us all what's truly important. It's just too bad that her smug message of diversity has interfered with her ability to detect ironic expression.

Note to Judith: the joke is in the camera angle, not the height of Tom Thumb!

Hey, Jude. Don't make it bad.
We're all for self-expression. And if your self wants to express that you like ugly shoes that's perfectly fine. All the better for me, because that's what I use to judge the content of a person's character and I don't want to waste time getting to know someone with bad taste. You know, cause I'm a shallow American.
(insert sarcasm wherever you like)

I'm disappointed in the US tendency to want everybody to fit into a closely defined box named "acceptable fashion." What's wrong with self expression? Ellen is gay and not feminine. Wearing shiny white masculine shoes is already a stretch for her.
The Fugly girls only like prom gown fashion. Being short is the motive for ridicule? Think some people may have grown up hungry and made it to the top, higher than us, anyway? Bravo!
Wake up, everybody. The world is many sized, many colors, many characters and life is more interesting for that. If we could celebrate difference, we'd encourage more creativity.

Dear Manolo,
Perhaps this has been said somewhere before, but after I heard the trio of Jennifer, Beyonce, and Anika perform their Academy nominated songs, all I could think of was "Screamgirls."
Best,
     Kate

Romantic Duo, oh, my yes, it could be truly amazingly bad/good. The Hoff would have been so elegant, ah, well. But the Forrest Whitaker speech made the aimlessjoys' smile muscles, tear ducts & heart quiver with shpilkus & Suchness. OMG the best acceptance speech ever!

I thought of you, Manolo, when she walked out with those shoes. I had also just heard an interview with her on NPR, where she said that she was anticipating all sorts of criticism starting with "She wore that?" I did think, "She wore THAT?"

The pantsuit was not too bad, but should have had a fitted and feminine jacket, and definitely more super-fantastic shoes instead of the sneaker-like thingies.

The last one made me laugh out loud!

Although, seriously Manolo, I would love to see a movie with Queen Latifah and Peter O'Toole. I was so sad when he didn't win last night.
