After a week there, I'm converted. To heck with Italy. Just bought a pair of oh-so-elegante brown suede rounded toe pumps with a kitten heel and a leopard skin tiny bow on the toe in the Spanish department store Corte Ingles. And 2 divine dresses from the divine designers of Divina Providencia. I fear my heart has gone madrileno...
