I don't think brave is the right word. It's more that Cher seems to have a design sense (or she listens to someone who does) that is outside of fashion. She looks pulled together in most of those pics; the costumes being suited to her and also coherent in themselves.

Which is different from random celebs who wear whatever weird thing they can think of just for the sake of being weird, or as a frantic scrabble at the latest trend.

Contrast that black spiky spidery thing of hers with whatever the Olsen waifs were last seen in....

Not bravery. Confidence.

I would have thought the Gothic Lolitas would have looked more medieval or Goth (in the modern sense) than Victorian and Edwardian funereal. It's more Lemony Snicket-ish, I think. Intriguing yet somehow disturbing.

That's my town... EEEEEKKKKK!!!! I thought Walnut Creek was too uppity for that! Miss 'Thrown Under the Bus' sounds like a kindred spirit though, with her AK blue peep toes...*nice*

Please at all costs find a picture of the HIGH HEELED CROCS so we can be forwarned upon encountering the horror that will be.

Cher is an original alright. Braver than any actress now for sure. Oh those were the days....Cher is the original definition of shock and Awe (take that W.)
