Oh Manolo, I love you so much. To discuss shoes and art history in the same sentence and draw such accurate and thoughtful parallels...I just love you. I also love those Louboutin platforms. Perfect. I will be holding on to my Louboutin-esque platforms while we cycle through this Rococo period. I take comfort in knowing it will go away, and the Olsen urchins will have to find some other horrible thing to walk around town in.

Hi Manolo!

I totally agree with you for this new decadent platform period. I long for graceful and classic shoes. This decadence period can even be found in the clothes I see in the shops lately: they only flatter girls with (european) size 32 or 34. What about the real girls and women (who don't have the money to spend on great designer clothes)? All retail shops sell these horrible clothes. I can't wait for another classical period.

Much love,

Nele

p.s. I enjoyed the interview and photographs of your house in the Belgian magazine "Feeling". It was great to see where you live and how it looks like :).
