The Manolo likes these sandals, but he also knows that you would have to be spectacular sort of woman to wear them effectively, the bronzed and oiled amazonian warrior perhaps, or some sort of the modern gladatrix.
They look like the sandles that Asterix and Obelix are often punching the Roman soldiers out of.

A cross between sandals and boots. Perhaps we could call them “snoots”. Not particularly my cup of wine.
To pull that off you need to be really really tall and really really tanned!
I’m only seeing the one buckle at the top there, which makes me wonder how do you actually put these things on? I imagine it would take a good fifteen minutes of fussing to do it!
They are awesome! Am nowhere near tanned enough to pull them off but I love them all the same!

Perhaps these are the fashions one should wear with such shoes. Although I cannot imagine that they’d make me look anything other than incredibly stumpy.
