What The Manolo Is…
Manolo says, it is Tuesday, time to see what the Manolo is…
The Manolo was wondering when someone would realize that the Jack Black had the potential to play the romantic lead.
He is, in his short chubby way, the handsome and manly little dude. If you do not believe the Manolo, simply look at the cover of the March issue of the Vanity Fair in which he looks like the 1930′s movie idol. The Holiday does not quite achieve what the Manolo has in mind, but at least it is trying.
Speaking of the Jack Black, someday remind the Manolo to explain to you why the Nacho Libre is the most sincerely religious movie made in last the 20 years.
As for the Amy Winehouse, ayyyyy! This is the magnificent voice and talent! But sadly, girlfriend has the problem.

Yes, I must concur that Nacho Libre is a most underrated film, and not just in its quaint sincerity!
I love Jack Black too, but I fell in love with him when he did “High Fidelity” with Cusack and the rest. He did a passable job in that silly movie with Gwyneth Paltrow, too. I don’t think it’s him, I think it’s the third-rate scripts they give him.
I loved him as a romantic lead. It fit him well.
Another under-rated Jack Black vehicle is “School of Rock”. He’s not a romantic lead but still manages a certain sweetness and his chemistry with the kids in the movie is genuine and unforced.
LizaBet, I agree — I loved “School of Rock.”
Also, would somebody please GIVE AMY WINEHOUSE A SANDWICH? Or at least an IV full of nutrients of some type? Thank you.
ayyyy, no! why must seňor manolo always rant about the “vastly” under-rated religious themes of the nacho libre???
My goodness!!! How long can Amy Winehouse live looking like that? She looks as fragile as a cookie. Please someone FEED her a couple.
I’m disappointed that the article about Amy Winehouse (whose existence was made known to me through this post, BTW) said that they ‘love her either way.’ Surely they don’t mean they accept and support her emaciation? The tats and piercings and Elvira hair and makeup, yes, but the complete failure to cast a shadow? No.
I love Jack Black very much.
“High Fidelity” is good job…
