Ay yi yi. This is a tough one. Is it Patti Lupone?
Is it the J.Lo?
Bebe Neuwirth?
Posh Spice?
The Paula Abdul?
It is someone well enough known to be featured in a Hirschfeld-like cartoon, who is at once capable of the sleek pumps and the tacky red mules topped with floodwater trousers. Indeed this is difficult. Hmmm…the Annalucia will make a great leap into a wild guess and say, the late Christina Onassis.
Julia Roberts?
Ayyyy! The Annalucia, her reasoning it is so sound, but sadly her conclusion is erroneous.
However, the Manolo will tell his friends that this is not the Hirshfeld-like cartoon, it is the actual Hirshfeld cartoon.
In the few hours the Manolo will post again with the extra photo clues to help his internet friends with this difficult challenge.
I think perhaps Nicole Kidman.
Mia Farrow??
Ah, a tricky one…. But aren’t these the pretty feet of Bette Midler?
Liza? But does The Minelli wear jeans?
no
thay look like something you could wear with jeans. chick me out at yahoo and we can talk more. just email me or im
I’m going with Bette Midler, though I think the shot of the red mules is a decoy or something. Either that or it’s a GROUPING of shoes, like “the cast of RENT” or “guest hosts of Regis and Kelly.”
Nicole Kidman???!!! The pale thin feet with the red mules look very much like her style when whe was married to the Tom Cruise.
Carol Burnett is my random guess. My horoscope says that my intuition is spot on today – we’ll see.
it is bette midler
Sharon Stone…? The ankles seem a bit too thin to be Bette Midler’s…And clearly it’s spanning a few decades (or, at least one) with the sort of clunky white ankle straps. So why that leads me to Sharon Stone I dont know, but that’s my guess.
I’m going to guess….Bernadette Peters
Don’t know why I say this, but could it be SJP?
Is she famous enough, iconic enough for a Hirschfeld cartoon? The shoes are fairly modern, it appears. No ’40s or ’50s styling…
On the other hand, I associate Hirschfeld cartoons with Broadway stars, so Bernadette Peters is a strong guess. Somehow, though, I can’t picture her in jeans.
Midler!
I changed my mind… it is definitely the Divine Miss M.
It is Ms. Midler!
My bets are on Midler or Bebe Neuwirth. Ms. Neuwirth has had a notable affinity for the fishnets (both on and off the stage of Bob Fosse-choreographed musicals), and the chinoiserie also seems fitting to her. However, the coyly crossed ankles top center and the graceful positioning of the Hirschfeld makes me lean towards Ms. M.
I am prepared to bet a pair of Manolos, that it is the Divine Ms M. I’m pleased to find she has such truly great legs.
Definitely Bette Midler: fairly dainty, long duration, questionable taste.
I’m going with bernadette Peters. but I could use another clue
Manolo, you sneaky fox… the chunky white things are on a celebrity impersonator! I am good with the Google.
no, no, no, the Audrey Hepburn
