I, too, am rather short, but do so much walking throughout the day I wear flats virtually all the time, lest I subject myself to foot horrors like the bunions or the unbearable pain. I have an identical pair of boots that I bought ten (or more!) years ago from Eddie Bauer. The best cheap shoes I ever had! They are the only boots I own that can actually go from snow and slush to a nice indoor environment with the swish of a paper towel. Well, now I know where to look when they pass on.... Prada!
