    But the series on the white high heels makes me quite delirious. White Shoes???? White high heels???? Starfish. Sooooooo cooooool, Labor Day so far away…. enjoyed. It must be the heat.

    I am lucky to live in Melbourne, where “Blue Cliff” from Mari Hirata’s White Shoe series is currently posted on a 9.870m x 12.040m (32ft x 39ft) billboard on one of the major freeway approaches to the city.

    Mari Hirata’s work Blue Cliff has been selected to feature on Melbourne’s Mirvac Yarra’s Edge Tower 1 Lorrimer Street billboard. The 9.870m x 12.040m billboard will display Hirata’s image to the public in the docklands precenict for the next twelve months. Previous artists to have participated in this project include Rosemary Laing, Sandy Edwards and Narelle Autio who, like Hirata were selected because of the contemporary vibrancy of their photographic works.
