Hi, Kathryn - - Where I live, we'd call them "Ukranian Easter Eggs". We probably say that generically & at times are wrong. I know Czech Easter Eggs use a different method (with the waxing & dyeing in a reverse method, I think). I guess there are enough Ukranians and Czechs in my state that I come across them. (I think Russians do it, too.). Several years ago at our local "Festival of Nations", there was a demonstration of Ukranian Easter Egg decorating, so we were able to watch the process. They did some goose eggs, too. I don't think I had ever seen an actual goose egg before -- they are enormous!
