I tried a Timberland shoe similar to the Lacoste above, and have concluded that these light, attractive sneakers that are in vogue now simply cannot sustain the foot through an 8-hour shift, not to mention a 12-hour. I'm recovering from my fourth foot surgery in 5 years. Wear the orthopedic shoes for the standing all day jobs and then you can wear the heels all the rest of the time. Flats, in my opinion cause the very bad plantar fasciitis. Always check out the Taryn Rose shoes as Manolo recommends...worth every penny. … yes, I’m with the Dansko white clog also.
