Is that Dr. Evil? Or his eviler female twin?
Crikey, and I though it was the return of Boy George!
Why fight it? Take a leaf out of the book of the British, get a a few friends round, crack open the Baileys and enjoy the experience :o)

It’s just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right…
I saw the picture and my first thought was “What’s Mike Myers doing now?”
I am horrified, yet cannot turn away.
And the Tin Man said “If I only had a talent”.
I agree with the Manolo in his opinion that the Eurovision is horrible, and yet I must add that Israel is usually less than awful- two years ago we won 4th place with Shiri Mimone, who gave a great performance, and this year we’re sending a fairly good band to compete (though unfortunately with a very annoying song).
You can see the band and hear their song on their myspace-

The dude in the picture is downright scary, all things said.
In my opinion Teapacks’ song Push the Button is not quite good, but a triumph.
This guy(Verka Serduchka – song: Dancing Lasha Tumbai) is representing Ukraine and I think that he is just appropriate for Eurosong, because he is not taking it too serious as some other seem to do:) and besides who has never wanted to see an ukrainian guy in drag :)))
I think that in spite of all the horribleness, Eurovision is a good thing when viewed throught the perspective that there should be as many things as possible. Sometimes life is too serious. This is a refreshing change.
ESC is great because it is so abominable. I will be parked in front of my computer tomorrow for the Semi-finals!
For some reason – probably the vague Mike Myers resemblance – this kind of made me think of a Yiddish grandmother fronting a klezmer band from the 31st century.
Introducing… Klaus Nomi’s lost love child!
One word: Flacco :)
(Especially the very last picture).
Just in case one might be mad enough to subject oneself to this voluntarily; is there any way to watch it aside from hoping that the performances will be posted by someone on YouTube?
Between the slavic look of the lead singer’s costume, and the “Gay Nazi in lederhosen” look of the accordion player, it looks like a musical tribute to the Stalin-Hitler Nonagression Treaty.
