Irregular Choice for the Thursday
Manolo says, this is unprecedented! The Manolo actually likes this shoe from the Irregular Choice, and believes that it could be worn to good effect by the right super fantastic girl.
In the past, the Manolo has found the shoes of the Irregular Choice to be too oppressively, self-consciously Hello-Kitty kwaii. While others have found that they may well provide the grounds for going to law.
But this shoe above is funky in the good way, and is not burdened by the piling on of the “whimsical” doody-crap.
Still, this is not to say that it is not without its cloying and superfluous details. Look at the sole.
Urgh.

Wow, this does not look like an Irregular Choice shoe. What happened to the frou-frou?
Yeesh, if they wanted to make the sole cute they could have put a bunch of cherries or strawberries…blonde kiddie with a blue bow doesn’t match the color scheme at all! Otherwise, very cute shoes.
I have to say I find the idea of stepping on the blonde child oddly attractive. Hmmm.
No. NO. These were almost so cute! But how could I attend daily Mass in them? I would approach the rail, kneel and everyone would see that asinine business on the bottom.
I try so hard to dress up the habit, but this is TOO far.
As for the sole – well at least it’s better than the mark down sticker that SO many women never remove from their shoes. So nice seeing that parade in front of me on a city street.
Too bad that Irregular Choice shoes are so cheaply made. Rock hard shoes? Ouch!
This is kinda cute too.. if you don’t zoom in and notice the odd dancing dogs

Finally! Deck shoes that don’t make one’s legs look like wine barrels!
Granted, there’s no way I could actually sail in these, but they would look sooo chic on the cape this summer. Now if only they came in cream…
I have a pair of Irregular Choice shoes that I really like (they’re very subtle) but have never worn because they’re just so uncomfortable! They feel plasticy and they squeak and clunk around when I walk. They were so cute (light turquoise with cream trim bow and kitten heels!) but they make it seem like I bought them at a discount store for $10 (which I did).
