Eins, Zwei, Drei! He’s such a happy little star-headed gnome!

I guess years of listening to European music in Deutschklasse have warped my musical sensibilities, because I thought that was great! Of course, it was completely campy, ridiculous, over the top, and tasteless, but it wouldn’t be European pop music if it wasn’t.

  2. tanya Says:

    NICE shoes though

  3. C* Says:

    Wow. Just…wow.

  4. Nataly Says:

Delurking to stand up for Verka! He was/is actually a comedian and has made an incredibly successful career with the Verka character. His songs are great and his performances are always over-the-top, wacky, fun! How can you not love a singing Dame Edna!

  5. Manolo the Shoeblogger Says:

Ayyyyyy! This song, it is now stuck in the head of the Manolo!

  6. Robert Says:

That’s a darn good Euro-pop song. I’d also like to point out: if Boom Bang-a-Bang performed by Lulu won Eurovision, anything is possible. Go Dance!

  7. Style Spy Says:

I must admit, I am a sucker for a good polka. Flog me if you must, but I kinda loved it. Blame my Polish grandma…

  8. Sara Says:

He so reminds me of Mike Myers.

“Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance.”

  9. OrangeLily Says:

First time poster, long time lurker.

This is Turbofolk, which is popular in the Slavic countries. For those who listen to or have been exposed to Turbofolk, it’s nothing new, and it’s not a bad song.

The costumes, on the otherhand, are not representative of the genre.

  10. great danger Says:

i have never been so proud to be of ukrainian descent!! my people’s finest hour is upon us!!

  11. AFRIEND Says:

This is absolutely very entertaining. I totally enjoyed it.

  12. Phyllis Says:

When does her U.S. tour go on sale?

  13. AFRIEND Says:

I forgot to mention that the accordian is wonderful. A great instrument which should be used more in pop music!
