Manolo says, today, in honor of his new forums, the Manolo is starting the new game: Build the Outfit.

The Manolo gives you the shoes, and you tell him what you would wear with these almost-but-not-quite tacky platform shoes from the Giuseppe Zanotti.

In order to participate you must register at the Manolo’s new Super Fantastic Forums and leave your reply in this thread.

On Friday afternoon, the Manolo will randomly pick the winner from among the participants and give them the $100 Zappos gift certificate!

Oh, I *like* this game, Manolo! I was completely at sea with the “Whose shoes Wednesday” since I really don’t follow fashion at all - Lord only knows why I love your blog so much, LOL (I think it must be the charming and sunny personality of the superfantastic Manolo *wink*)

Since I really don’t need to be in the running for the gift certificate (my poor feets won’t tolerate anything but the professional Dansko shoes, with their nasty, hard, high arches), I’ll just post my suggestion here:

How about some lovely, simply cut, flowing white slacks? You could add a turquoise shell under a loose white blouse, add a turquoise belt, some red/orange bangles and necklace, and then a superfantastic little purse slung with elegant carelessness over one shoulder…

Anyway, I thank the Manolo for being a restful and amusing island of sanity amidst all the craziness of the blogosphere: you bring smiles to my face each day!

A long-ish gauze lime green skirt with a white camisole and lots of turquoise beads - sort of Caribbean vacation wear.

    Mondrian shoes. Whooda thunk?

  4. Thao Says:

I would go simple to draw the emphasis to the colors on the shoes. A cute cap-sleeeved white, knee length eyelet dress. Maybe a few gold accessories that aren’t too blingy to go with it.

  5. Big Red Says:

Lime-green sleeveless shift (above the knee length, maybe with a swingy silouhette for those miserably hot Washington DC summer days), white pendant, and a head scarf in the same fun colors, with big old Jackie-O style shades

    P.John you read my mind..!
