Manolo shouts, solid gold shoes!!!

The Employee of a jewellery shop was showing a pair of shoes made of up-to-680g pure gold in Wuhu, Anhui Province June 9, 2007. The shoes were designed by Italian designer under the invitation from World Gold Council.

As the Manolo’s shoe-loving friend Wayne said, “Who need the glass slipper when you’ve got these?”

These must truly, truly be super-fantastic to inspire The Manolo to the shouts!!

Yet, yet, to these eyes, those shoes, in the classic pump style, albeit, still, somehow, look, it is bemusing to say… a little cheap. Which is the contradiction most droll, since 68 ounces of gold, if that is what “up to 68og” means, isn’t cheap in the slightest at the current market price for gold!

    WHY?!?!?!
Maybe my imagination is stunted at this time of day (quitin’ time). I am the worlds biggest shoewhore, but these are WAAYY wierd. It conjures up images of Flavor Flav and his clocks. I can just see some other shoewhore trying her damnedest to put a rope chain on to wear this around her neck.

“Oh Dem Golden Slippers” You could wear them to the mummers parade on New Years Day in Philadelphia.

well you couldn’t walk in them. There’s no flexibility…you’d be waddling around like a friggin duck.
