Do you all know that there are millions of versions of the most delightful algorithm march on the YouTube? (Algorithm March with Prisoners is actually a little upsetting, though.)

I cannot for the life of me imagine why this exists, but I am very glad it does.

  6. Ms. Berry Says:

*sigh* I knew I should have paid more attention in calculus. Is there a math in-joke I’m not getting?

Nevertheless, the song is very catchy!

  7. Rachel Says:

    That…that’s trippy.

Now I wish I had friends to do that with!!

  8. Handmaiden Says:

I don’t understand what it’s about, but it made me laugh. (Is it actually about anything, or is it just meant to be fun and silly?)

  9. The Princesse Says:

Handmaiden, I wish I could answer! I am at a loss for words. Which rarely happens!

See a group of prisoners do the algorithm dance here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjMd2Vabcv8

I think they must have taken a lot of time and patience to get it right. To be honest, was half expecting them to break into a fight at anytime…to which my fiance sarcastically says “how optimistic of you”. A really disciplined group of prisoners.

  11. sunflowery Says:

I love it…to echo a previous poster, its trippy1 I actually found myself singing along after a few ‘rewinds’ its bizarrely engrossing!

  13. Queen of Suburbia Says:

Simply awesome! I have coffee coming out of my nose I was laughing so much!

Actually, this IS a regular feature in kids programming in Japan! If you get Japanese satellite in the US, you can see it every morning…
