Build the Outfit, Update
Manolo says, already there are many excellent entries into the Manolo’s weekly Build the Outfit contest. If you do not care to enter, you must at the least go look at the entries and see the talented stylings of the Manolo’s many internet friends.
Also, this week, the Manolo’s friends at the Shoeflyer Blog will be doing the judging, and the Shoefly.com has provided the prize, these Repetto ballet flats you see above.

i loved this shoe SO much i actually came out of de-lurk mode and entered an outfit that shows exactly how clueless i am when it comes to fashion. i have outed myself as a fashion “DON’T”. ;)

I’m impressed with the entries so far! I think I lack the stylistic skills necessary to put something together at this point. However, I love that there are so many differnt looks happening, and that so many are limiting the color palette so as to better highlight the shoes!

I love this new style so much, I may have a hard time finding an outfit to wear it with though, any suggestions?

I might suggest to the Manolo that all entries be hidden before judging can begin. The current setup gives later entrants the unfair advantage of being able to peruse prior entries for ideas.
The current setup also may give the impression that similar later entries were “copied” from previous posts when that is actually not the case at all (as with my own entry).

By the way, I am having a problem with posting the photos on the blog for BTO, instead I attached a document, which can only be seen at times. I am sure I’m doing something wrong, but I’ve tried many different ways and I just can’t seem to be able to add photos to the text box. Help?
