Cuidado! Cesare Paciotti!
Manolo says, here to make you chuckle on the Thursday are the ridiculous shoes by the Cesare Paciotti. Yes, all high heels are somewhat impractical, but these cross the line into being positively dangerous!

I think if the bows were half the size, they would be awesome.

The angle of the heel disturbs me.
Most high heels have at least some flat-line in the heel area so that some of the wearer’s weight can be born on the heel.
The sharp downaward angle in this heel design will force all weight bearing to the toe area OWWCH!
And the enormous bow will be a trip hazard for the lady teetering on her toes.
Let’s not even talk about the price.

Ay! Ay! Ayyy! Everything is wrong with this shoe. DivaLisa has already pointed out the hazards of the huge floppy bow and the badly designed heel. For the Annalucia who is very flat of foot, the complete lack of arch support is yet another reason to avoid this red and black instrument of torture.

I was reminded of my sainted mother’s words of caution regarding the need to tie your (damn) shoelaces before you fall and “break your neck!” :-)

They are ridculously fabulous! If I could wear heels anymore I would wear those and work them so hard, heh.

I think this is one of those cases of a shoe that succeeds as an object of art, but fails as footwear. The bow does look striking, but the designer failed to take into account the fact that no lady can look elegant while tripping over her own feet.

So true, daisyj, so true.
I absolutely love those beautiful shoes, but I wouldn’t wear them even if they were given to me along with a gown, a tiara, and a handsome prince.

That is beautiful! But yeesh!
Just for that, I’d avoid the entire line, even ones that *look* more reasonable in the photos. Any designer that would expect you to wear that does not love you. :)

At first I thought I’d be sure to trip, but I think having that bow would actually make me be more cautious when walking and I would trip less than usual…which is quite frequent. LOL

These are perfectly practical for sitting on a bar stool and posing.
