The reviews on Zappos are awesome. The people reviewing them who don’t own them are just the start; “Anonymous from Cambridge, MA” could give Jonothan Swift a run for his money!

    These are tacky tacky shoes!
How dorky can you get. They’re worse than having socks for each holiday.

while I am second to none in my admiration for the Manolo and the beautiful shoes, and in no way do I believe in the suppression of freedom of speech or expression, nevertheless, I feel – patriotically – I should point out just how many violations of the Flag Code these shoes encompass:
    Flag Code
The laws relating to the flag of the United States of America are found in detail in the United States Code. Title 4, Chapter 1 pertains to the flag; Title 18, Chapter 33, Section 700 regards criminal penalties for flag desecration; Title 36, Chapter 3 pertains to patriotic customs and observances. These laws were supplemented by Executive Orders and Presidential Proclamations.
The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
    a. The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
    b. The flag should never be used as wearing apparel….. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. …
    c. The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
    d. The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
    e. The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
