Indeed. Sure, it sounds practical, but who really wants an endless variety of ugly plastic slides?
That “thick, comfortable stretch foam material” has a name: neoprene. It’s designed to hold the heat in because it’s not meant for shoes, it’s meant for wet suits! *flails*
I had a very odd great-aunt who only had one pair of pumps she wore to church. She spray-painted them on Saturdays to match the outfit she was wearing the next morning.
She was NOT a destitute person by any stretch of the imagination. I suppose that’s probably why…
