The crocs were originally designed for the boater (perhaps the gardeners are allowed). The non-slip shoe which does not grow immediately into a nasty bacterial garden on the outside, like canvas shoes do when exposed to seawater, nor holds water in close to the feet to create fungal problems, is a grand innovation <i>for that market</i> and is a fine idea <i>in its place</i>. It only becomes an eyesore when people mistake those shoes for appropriate streetware; it is akin to those who mistake bikini tops for "shirts" or spandex bike shorts for "pants". Allow me to agree with JQ.
