According to google images, NR has no recorded feet. But that patterned carpet resembles an institution where a woman is won’t to walk in more than one pair of shoes. So I’m going with a president’s wife. I can’t see Lady Bird in the jewelled numbers, though you never know.
For some reason, something about one of them said Meg Ryan…I think it’s the black tights and then black shoes…it has that vague look of being slightly unstylish but unaware of such.
My initial reaction is Nancy Pelosi, but I think the feet are too big to be her (she is a fairly petite woman). It is certainly someone in politics, who is “mature” (black and white photo), and most likely tall given the moderate heel (which also indicates politics and not celebrity to me).
I had a hunch it was Meg Ryan, too. Something coltish about the way the woman is standing, her knees seem to knock together for some reason which stirs a Meg Ryan vibe.
I’m going to say Hillary or Chelsea Clinton. It’s got to be a woman in (or around) politics, what with all of them wearing pantyhose while wearing the shoes and the carpet that has a picture of a not-casual, but still businesslike pair and then on the same carpet some shoes that are obviously formal shoes (again with pantyhose), worn for a special occasion. They are also somewhat modern looking in tone and look like a younger lady, with a little more fashion consciousness would wear them. the white pants with the split and the lime green shoes are throwing me off though, that’s too young for Hillary. Could it possibly be Chelsea Clinton?
Jackie Kennedy has been dead for ten years, so some of the most contemporary shoe styles couldn’t be hers. She also had very large feet, which was a source of discomfort for her; I believe she was a size 11.
Hillary Clinton has, sad to say, terrible, terrible legs, true piano legs with the calves starting at the ankles, so you never see her in street-length skirts. None of these could be her.
Nancy Reagan, surprisingly, has very heavy, disproportionately so, thighs. Saw a photo once of her in a bathing suit and was quite startled, as otherwise she is so very tiny.
Another person who’s quite small, too, is Barabara Walters (saw her at a benefit once a few years ago) and she’s maybe 5′2″ max.
All this being said, and not in the spirit of snark but as information, I think the votes for Mrs. Reagan might be on the money, especially when one views the two-toned pumps and black high heels. On the other hand, the final shot of the fawn colored pumps on the white cloth looks too current, so, I could be quite wrong.

And it wouldn’t be the first time.
Or, most assuredly, the last.

Nancy Pelosi does like her heels, though, and nifty shoes (like the lime green ballet flats) . . . she gets my vote. Rather uncertainly.
A toughie, this week.
July 25th, 2007 at 8:50 pm
It’s definitely Barbara Walters.
July 25th, 2007 at 9:33 pm
My first thought was Barbara Walters.

I want to say Diane Keaton as well, it’s definitely the white pants.

[…] Manolo asked, whose shoes? […]

‘Calves that start at the ankles.’ That is me. And no amount of working out can do anything about it. In fact working out makes it worse.
