Manolo’s Thursday Miscellany
Manolo says, here are the few links which may perhaps amuse…
The downside is they do look slightly like a pigeon had died on your head…
Though maybe my money would be better spent on breast implants.

Really not loving the Diamond in the Rough Diamond Ring but hey who am I to judge?

I’m with you Twinkles and as the Gemdiva I am eminently qualified to judge:-). This alarming fashion trend for rough, uncut and unpolished “gem” stones (emeralds, rubies, saphires) only says to me “there were so many flaws and inclusions in these stones that if we didn’t try to market them as the next big thing in jewelry we’d have to trash them”. There’s a sucker born every minute.

Exactly and sorry but wouldn’t it catch on things also, purely from a practical perspective?

hehe, they kinda do look like a pigeon died on your head.
that said the only reason why i don’t purchase feathered accessories is because my cats like to eat them.

Twinkles, it could catch on things, scratch things, injure small children when you hug them, poke your eye out. It goes terribly wrong on any number of levels. I wouldn’t wear it if it came out of a gum ball machine. A girl’s got to have her standards.

am loving the juxtaposition of polished and unpolished. kind of sums up anyone who wears it. because no matter how impeccable a figure we cut, we are all in some ways just diamonds wonderfully in the rough. it’s tough on the eyes to take in polish and gloss all the time. it’s calming to rest your peepers on raw natural beauty some of the time.

How the heck do they expect Galliano to look in the rough?

Is it just me or is that ring merely a lump of coal?
