Everyone we spoke to prefaced their introduction with “You must be Kyra’s friends from California!” Yes, yes, we were, gee, how did you know?

Oh great. Another shoe site that will probably catch me out when I’m feeling direly sorry for myself at 2 am in the morning and there’s a floating credit card let out loose on my table.

Ow. The Want Monster is worrying me, chomping on my tender flesh and drawing a little blood

    Unfortunately, it seems that ‘Kyra’s friends from California’ are the type that many have made fun of in their comments to the question of ‘California black tie’. Usually, it specifies on the invitation the attire of wedding if it is going to be black tie or formal. I think I would be in slight shock if I specified my SF-bay area California wedding to be semi-formal and a friend showed up in a blue sundress with big white flowers all over it and sandals(and from the way she states it, I’m assuming they were of the comfy type, not the cute/sexy type). I think I would wonder if it were a joke.
