Manolo’s Monday Miscellany

Manolo says, here are the few links which may perhaps amuse…

Every marriage fifty years ago, we are led to believe, was nothing but a loveless travesty, maintained for public perception only, secretly crushing the will to live of both partners. In short, it’s all great fun…

Germaine Greer Wants YOUR Teddy!

Fankly, I think these shoes might attract the wrong type of attention and cause more harm than good but then again, I’m not in the industry so what do I know.

Whew! For a second there, I thought Germaine was on a feminist rant about the evils of lacy lingerie. Not that I have anything against feminist rants, having gone on one or two myself, but I am rather fond of my teddies and don’t wish to part with them, or my stuffed animals either for that matter.

Is Mad Man suppose to take place in the 50s or 60s? The sixties were 40 years ago not fifty years ago. This is an important clarification when you were born in 1963. Which is 44 years ago … no one should be rounding up those years … EVER!

Long Island, It takes place in 1960. I figure, 47 years is the same as 50!

As I stated earlier no one should ever round up anything occurring in the 1960s … EVER. What is wrong with saying 45 years ago?

Sorry! Will remember that next time!
