Manolo’s Wednesday Miscellany

Manolo says, here are the few links which may perhaps amuse…

Even though I am slightly traumatized by this picture, I want George to know that I totally blame his parents.

As mentioned before cap toe shoes are a going to be a big hit this fall. But, plaid cap toe shoes are going to be even bigger.

If you really want to get in touch with your soul, look at your soles.

I must disagree with this simplification of “the language of shoes”. I am a creative artist and would not be caught dead in clogs. I dumped them after high school. They are clunky and unsafe - you can’t trust them on stairs.

I’m kind of sick of Meghan Cleary. I don’t find her that insightful or interesting. I do find her over-played. Her book premise is like one of those one dimensional “gift” books that you give someone when you only know one thing about them.

Giver: “Oh, I know you like shoes, so I got you this shoe book/keyring/ornament/frame/fill in the blank.”

Givee, very politely and tactfully: “Wow! Thank you” Great. : P

I hope I am not judged one dimensionaly by my shoes. I wear almost everyone of those styles as I’m sure most women do. Especially Manolo’s readers.
