Cause I Drinks a Bit

By Manolo the Shoeblogger

Manolo says, “Knew a man, Bojangles
And he danced for you
In worn-out shoes
With silver hair, a ragged shirt
And baggy pants, the old soft shoe”

I think it might actually be:

“…And baggy pants, the old Croc shoe”

This post is utter perfection. I heart Manolo!

  4. aimlessjoys Says:

I try to be sparing with these, but cannot help myself: ;-p
    Great One!

  5. Poochie Says:

I also heard a rumor that Nicole Kidman was wearing Crocs. But I haven’t found a pic yet.

    The horror!

Oooooh, now I have an inextinguishable “Mr. Bojangles” earworm!!! AAAAARRRGGHHHH!!!!!! What have you done to me, Manolo?!?!?!

  7. Michele Says:

    Hello Manolo,

Every single friend of mine has a pair of these Croc shoes, proving, of course, that I need new friends. (wink)

    p.s. Love Phyllis’ comment.

  8. Fausta Says:

    Et tu, Al??

  9. Ryno Says:

I never thought I would long for the days of giant untied basketball shoes. However Crocs just gave me an idea. We could all carry around plastic cork-like plugs and insert them into the holes of Crocs. And the point would be… never mind.

  10. Meg Q Says:

Scent of an old man with bad taste.

Sorry, Al. But, really, how could you?

P.S. Manolo, darling, you are really needing the special Croc Chronicles category.

  11. chachaheels Says:

Ryno, I bet you were hoping that, if you somehow plugged all the croc openings, the shoes would just explode and be obliterated.

    Oh well, yes, never mind.

  12. Roxy Says:

Al Pacino looks like he’s shuffling to the 7-Eleven to try scoring one more bottle of the MD20/20…

Manolo, the Mr. Bojangles reference was just too good. Sometimes you bump up the Super Fantasticness level without even trying.

  13. Linda F Says:

    Greetings Super Fantastic Manolo-
I just saw a the very funny movie “Idiocracy”, which is about a future world where everyone is dim witted and badly dressed. Naturally, Crocs seemed to be the footwear of choice! Look closely in this clip and you can see that the future prison uniform includes orange Crocs.

  14. Kim Says:

    Hello Super Fantastic Manolo,
Poor Al Pacino- I love him so much – all I can say is “PORQUE?” ( “Why” for you English only speakers)
BTW I’m new – you are awesome – I hope to become super fantastic too
