The Annalucia is less flummoxed by the color of the hair than by the size of the ten-week-old child. She has had five babies herself, most of them in the nine-and-ten-pound range, and none of them looked quite so enormous at the ten weeks. Though she did have one daughter who needed the haircut at the age of three days, so long was her hair.
