Osama bin Metrosexual
Manolos says, here is the Manolo’s latest piece for the Pajamas Media.
One of the Manolo’s internet friends has asked the Manolo what he thinks of the new look on display in the most recent video-taped appearance of the odious Osama bin Laden.
In the simple phrase, we now have witnessed the arrival of “Osama bin Metrosexual”.
With the freshly dyed beard, it is obvious that here is yet another sorry example of the aging man who has resorted to the Grecian Formula SPF50 in order to stave off the ravages of time; the man for whom the grey beard is not the mark of honor and of the life well lived, but of the irretrievable loss of youth.
Trust the Manolo, Osama, this look is not working for you.

Ah! Manolo dear, how you make the Annalucia laugh. She will have to bookmark this article and keep it alongside “The Chics of the Dictators.” (She still giggles when she thinks of the Manolo’s description of the crazyman of Iran as “the scourge of first period homeroom.”)
However she was most thoroughly unsettled by the side by side photos of the late Ayatollah and the Sean Connery. Are we sure that this is not the Sir Sean having us on with a false beard and a turban? The resemblance, it is frightening.

Hola to the PBird, whom La BellaDonna finds most perspicacious. Upon closer investigation, not only are the eyebrows different, the shape of the orbital socket is different, and the bridge of the nose is significantly narrower. The differences, they are the tad unsettling.
