Vaginally speaking? I would say, for a teenage girl, it is still quite scandalous.
I would say it’s still plain stupid. Why is she sitting like that? Is she trying to air out her ladyparts? My back hurts looking at her.
(And the whistling must be her beauty-contest talent.)
I think the pictures are scandoullllous! indeed
Is she plucking her eyebrows out with her fingers or what?
I agree with Kim: If she was under 18 (and I imagine she was), it’s still scandalous. If she was an adult, it’s merely tasteless.
Wasn’t she 16 when those ads were made?
I checked around — she was 15. Despicable.
It was 1979, and I don’t imagine CK could get away with this ad now with a girl that age. The ’70s were in some ways a racier time than today.
It was a more laid-back, less judgmental time when this came out….but I think people do far worse now. They just ACT like it’s not so bad. I am delighted that the Manolo enjoyed seeing this video. All credit goes to the fab person who put it on YouTube. :-)
I’m torn.
Visually it’s more decent that what many young starlets are doing today. We have to take Brooke at her word she’s going commando, rather than see irrefutable proof of it from various “leaving the car in a short dress” snatch…. er, snapshots.
And that was back in the day that jeans were high enough to cover full sized panties, were she to wear them, another attraction.
But of course the allure of this video from the innuendo, which makes it in many ways racier than Britney/Paris/Lindsay’s attire. And “sexy and 15″ just gives me the creeps!
There is an interview with Brooke in this month’s Redbook (or some mag like that). When asked what she would say to the wild young actresses of today, she said she would say nothing to them but would have plenty to say to their mothers. Methinks Ms Shields’ own mother was not always acting in her daughter’s best interests.
Do you know what comes between me and my Calvins? My brains!
