Very much! I didn’t realize how addicted I’ve become to my little peeks in at this site until it was missing. Glad to see you back!

  2. Linda Grant September 28, 2007 at 4:42 am #

Yes. No Whose Shoes Wednesday. I have had to rely on facebook. And make a hugely important shoe buying decision without you

  3. Victor September 28, 2007 at 6:11 am #

    Like you wouldn’t believe, sir.

  4. Linda Grant September 28, 2007 at 6:36 am #

Facebook’s I don’t care how comfortable you are, Crocs make you look like a dumbass group has over half a million members. Including me.

  5. gemdiva September 28, 2007 at 7:25 am #

I had to resort to reading the remnants on the old Manolo blogspot site in order to maintain the last vestiges of my completely illusory sanity. Thank the Internet Gods you have returned to us!

  6. Cat September 28, 2007 at 7:35 am #

You’re back! The Manolo is back! THANK GOD! The world is cold and bleak without Manolo’s Shoe Blog in it.

More than you can imagine – welcome back

  9. Toby Wollin September 28, 2007 at 8:36 am #

OK, what scurrulous cad manhandled your site? I went crazy trying to get in and trying to get in. I’m sorry..I need the Manolo 12 Step Program….

  10. Annalucia September 28, 2007 at 8:38 am #

Oh, most sorely, Manolo dear, and just when the Annalucia was already under a great deal of the stress (as the Tedesco was in the hospital having the surgery of the heart). Thankfully he is doing well and the Annalucia will be going to see him in about three hours.

If the Manolo could find and post some pictures of the elegant shoes from the 1920s and the 1930s the Annalucia would be most grateful – the latter decade, especially, is her most favored period of fashion and to gaze upon such shoes would be an uplift and a comfort. If the photo contains the woman who is also wearing the Vionnnet gown that would be even better, but it is not strictly necessary.

Moltissime grazie and welcome back to the Manolo.

I am heaving a huge sigh of relief!

  12. mcleodlt September 28, 2007 at 9:11 am #

The day is just not as bright without the Manolo.

  13. Jimmy Choo Choo Choo Me! September 28, 2007 at 9:22 am #

OMG! You’re back!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was so small and alone without you! *sob* It was so hard!

Seriously…don’t do that anymore! I thought my boss had blocked the sight because I spend too much time here! ;)

  14. Allison September 28, 2007 at 9:41 am #

Where else can I get a daily dose of silliness and footwear-induced wanderlust?

  15. La BellaDonna September 28, 2007 at 9:43 am #

La BellaDonna is desperately, pathetically grateful that The Manolo has returned. Life is not the same without him.

Hola to the Annalucia, and my very best wishes for the improved health of the Tedesco. La BellaDonna recommends to the Annalucia the Dover reprints of the 1920s and 1930s clothing and shoe catalogs, and the reprint of the French fashions of the 1920s. This way she will have something to read while keeping the napping Tedesco company. La BellaDonna, she also recommends bringing the pillow to sit on, as those chairs are hard. La BellaDonna also recommends to the Annalucia the website of the http://www.evadress.com, which offers patterns for the 1930s in the larger, as well as the smaller, sizes. If the Annalucia does not sew, she could perhaps hire the seamstress to make up the patterns for her.

    Missed you terribly…but I’m glad you’re back!

  17. deja pseu September 28, 2007 at 9:52 am #

Oh, the Deja has been suffering these last two days with severe MWS (Manolo Withdrawal Syndrome)! Welcome back!

  18. Isay September 28, 2007 at 9:59 am #

Now that the Manolo DT’s have stopped, I can safely say that “I missed you” would be an understatement. All hail the return of The Manolo!

  19. Poochie September 28, 2007 at 10:06 am #

I was about to round up the blog-posse, I was that worried.

It was very touch and go there for a few days!

    Missed ya!

  21. The Charlotte Allen September 28, 2007 at 11:22 am #

Oh, thank God you’re back! I’ve got a Manolo dependency problem. And Annalucia, my very best wishes for your husband’s speedy recovery.

  22. materfamilias September 28, 2007 at 11:46 am #

one of the comments on my last blogpost asked if anyone else was having trouble connecting to Manolo’s blog and said she felt “bereft” — I agreed with her (Dana) — bereft without Wednesday’s Whose Shoes? bereft without any beautiful new shoes to cheer up our day, bereft without any resounding AAYYYYs to give us a chuckle — So Glad You’re Back!!

  23. Patricia September 28, 2007 at 11:51 am #

Just imagine what is like to live in the wilds of Montana without your favorite link to the world, it is indeed horrible, welcome back!

  24. Lindsay September 28, 2007 at 1:08 pm #

In withdrawal as well. So glad you are back!

  25. Miss Janey September 28, 2007 at 1:20 pm #

Every day Miss Janey searched without finding The Manolo. It’s been a rough week, better now that the Manolo has returned.

  26. roz September 28, 2007 at 2:43 pm #

I was so sad. To prove that insecurity and narcissism are two sides of the same coin, I thought perhaps your website was only unavailable to ME.

  27. roz September 28, 2007 at 2:44 pm #

p.s. the conspiracy theorist in me wondered if Osama had gotten to you after that metrosexual commen.t

  28. Cristina September 28, 2007 at 3:55 pm #

Oh my goodness, I thought I was going to die from boredom. THANK YOU.

  29. Annalucia September 28, 2007 at 4:20 pm #

Molte grazie to the kind people who have left their best wishes; the Tedesco is much, much better and now is only awaiting the doctor who will come in, sign the paperwork, and permit him to go home.

And LaBellaDonna, “evadress” is a magnificent site, many thanks.

  30. iopine September 28, 2007 at 5:16 pm #

I was surprised at how irritated I got at two days of not being able to read you!

  31. E September 28, 2007 at 6:54 pm #

Manolo, I don’t know who has hijacked your site with ads and wingdings, but it is starting to resemble the Fark much more than the Coutorture.

Simplicity, as Tim Gunn would say, can be best.

  32. la petite chou chou September 28, 2007 at 8:09 pm #

I was bummed when the site wouldn’t open. Glad you’re back.

  33. WendyB September 29, 2007 at 10:50 pm #

    I missed you desperately!

  34. Meg Q October 1, 2007 at 3:59 am #

What do we do without you???

Two words for your host: redundant server. They’re very handy.

  35. Carol October 4, 2007 at 9:28 am #

Manolo! You have returned to us… Bereft is the best word to describe my days. The new Mr. Carol and I went off on our honeymoon without the sage advice of appropriate footwear. Now that you are here, we will have to ask about the hiking-theater-dinner-hot tub shoes. And we may have to do the honeymoon all over again with the new, fabulous shoes!
