Can you imagine the kind of motorcycle he would ride? Also if you are a serious rider you don’t wear fingerless gloves.

OK, here is my theory: Karl wears the gloves and that tall collar to hide his age. The neck and the hands show your age first and frankly are the items that make you look aged. I think Karl is just vain.
