Alberto Fermani Boots of the Mauve Decade
Manolo says, perhaps it is the result of the Manolo having watched the Hello Dolly last night, but now he is completely taken with these very Gay 90’s high-button boots from the Alberto Fermani.
Are they not marvelously expressive?

Now that I’ve managed to pick my jaw up off the floor, I can say those are Wonderful (yes, with a capital letter), and I wish I could afford them. I have no idea what I would wear them with, but even to be able to put them on the shelf in my closet and look at them would be lovely.

Lovely. Just lovely. If I had the guts (and money) I’d dress all in Edwardian clothing.

They look surprisingly a lot like something Fluevog would make. Truly beautiful shoes!

They are beautiful boots but I can’t imagine what one would wear them with?

Mmm… what a beautiful boot! Gorgeous colour. But as has already been noted, pricey!!
I’ve just bought a pair of knee high boots from the UK High St shop Clarke’s which are vaguely similar to these. You can get in black or brown. Similar heel and toe, leather buttons (though in a straight row rather than the lovely curve on these), vastly inferior of course, but also vastly cheaper at only £100.

Awww this would have been perfect (albeit pricey) for my Mary Poppins costume from Halloween 2 years ago.

One would wear them with a wonderful dark pencil skirt of the long variety and a perfectly fitting shirt. And one would be so happy all the day long.
