Michael Kors Shoes…at What Cost?
Manolo says, this beautiful shoe from Michael Kors is something that would look good as the regular part of any woman’s wardrobe, however, the Manolo is stunned by the price?
This must be the error. Remember, this is made of calf-skin, not real crocodile.
Here is the same shoe, without the Crocodile print, for $650 less!
Shocking! And as you know, it is not easy to shock the Manolo with the shoe prices.

Is it possible that the shoes ARE croc, and the “calfskin” bit is a mistake on Zappo’s part?

Oh my, that IS a lot.
I’m guessing that shoes really ARE croc as well.

I love the comment on the Zappo’s page from the woman that considers ~$1,000 to be well-priced. If she’s got $1,000 spare for some shoes, she can send some of that extra cash my way.

whatever happened to zappos’ prices, anyway? athose $39.95 deals at 95% off? not all year, gone with the wind…

I don’t see anything unique or unusual about that shoe. It may be finely made of great materials, but you could choose from thousands of identical shoes in the sub-$200 range with equally fine workmanship.
And e, I agree with you. The halcyon days of zappos are gone. I remember that one holiday season when they had a whole $25 or less section with gorgeous designer shoes…. (well, halcyon for the buyer, anyway.)

Oh, hey. That zappos link is GONE….

still there for me

The link had gone bad, changed at the other end by the peoples at Zappos. And so the Manolo has now repaired it, but do not be surprised if it is changed again. This has happened more than once in the past when the Manolo has criticized some shoe or other.

I too, remember the wonderful Zappos bargains. I own a $800 pair of DSquared pumps that I paid $120 for. I have not seen that kind of bargain in over a year. What happened?

I’m guessing that, in order to compete with other newer shoe websites (such as piperlime.com and endless.com) that also offer free shipping and free returns, they’ve had to offer their free overnight shipping on a more or less permanent basis, which in turn costs them money. Therefore, the wonderful Zappos bargains are gone :(

The link has gone bad again; perhaps just append the prices now for future reference?
