What the Manolo Is…

Manolo says, it is Tuesday, time to see what the Manolo is…

Reading…

Watching…

Listening to…

Thanks to the Netflix, the Manolo finally got around to seeing The Incredibles movie. It was entertaining, although not extraordinary, especially not when compared to the genius Brad Bird’s enduring masterworks, The Iron Giant and the Ratatouille. In most respects, The Incredibles is the fairly typical super-hero action movie melded with the fairly typical family comedy. It is only in the inspired character of Edna Mode that the movie truly comes to life.

And so Manolo says, forget the Incredibles sequel, give us the Edna Mode movie!

I bless Netflix all the time and my sister-in-law, too, for recommending it to me. Lately, I use Netflix to watch old mini-series from decades past.

NOOO! The Manolo cannot be dissing Les Indestructibles. Alas… perhaps this is a film only the post-Super Fantastic can enjoy. But one would think the Manolo would at least identify with this quote: “They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity.” Is it possible Mr. Incredible was referring to this?:http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/shoes/birkenstock-shoes/
