Dictator Doolittle

By Manolo the Shoeblogger

Manolo says, real headline from Pravda: Putin Easily Mingles in Animal World.

Just like Rex Harrison!

Two dolphins and the shark, discussing foreign policy

In Soviet Russia, you do not sleep with the fishes, the fishes sleep with you!

The Goat of Christmas Past

For some unknown reason Pravda has included in its article this animal-free beefcake photo, which the Manolo has entitled…

“Slim pickings this year at Fire Island.”

Siiiigh, Putin, you handsome beast. <3

  2. Miriam Says:

We all knew he got along with the sharks, but what about doves?

  3. Linda Grant Says:

The Manolo is indeed the genius

  4. Scottish Terrier and Dog News editor Says:

Here is the putin with the poodlethat he doesn’t want people to know about. He does not look so macho in this photo!

  5. The Apologist Says:

He needs to pull his pants up. I can still see the top of his belly button in that last photo.

  6. Daniel in Brookline Says:

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Daniel Craig?

  7. Annalucia Says:

Yes, something like the Daniel Craig, and something also like the Christopher Eccleston, excepting always the ears.

“Slim Pickings at Fire Island” – the Annalucia gave the most unladylike roar of laughter when she saw that. Molte grazie to the dear Manolo.

  8. Big D Says:

    The New Soviet Man!

  9. Alan Kellogg Says:

Putin got gypped on his chest implants.

  10. La BellaDonna Says:

Hah! La BellaDonna, she particularly liked the Goat of Christmas Past! Alas, she will have to wait to see him Putin on the dog, as that particular picture is blocked.

… Is it wrong that La BellaDonna, she is thinking, for Fire Island it may be the slim pickings, but the Putin, he is not looking bad at all for the man who is not so young. And the photo itself is beautifully composed.

  11. la petite chou chou Says:

    Gee, dolphins REALLY like him!

He sort of looks like an evil mastermind in that last one….

  12. DirtCrashr Says:

When dolphins get frisky like that it’s usually because they’re excited and aroused…

  13. Miss Janey Says:

    “Slim pickins” HA HA HAHAHA!

  14. daisyj. Says:

    I can has Bond villain?

  15. class factotum Says:

    La BellaDonna,

I, too, share your guilty pleasure at the last photo. I comfort myself with the knowledge that I still think Fidel Castro and Che Guevara are brutal murderers and there is nothing about them that would make me swoon. My conscience is soothed.

  16. cathy Says:

He looks like Dobby to me.

  17. raincoaster Says:

Don’t kid yourself, people. Those dolphins are trying to drown him; they work for the CIA!
