Build the Outfit #7

Manolo says, time for the next Build the Outfit Contest. This time the Manolo must respond to his own challenge issued by his internet friend Carrie.

I believe this is also the 6th BtO where the featured shoes aren’t made in size 11. Why do shoe companies hate tall people?

Let it never be said that the Manolo did not rise to the occasion in style…

Behold, the Mercurypipe from the Stuart Weitzman, available not only in the size 11W, but also in the size 12W! The four inch heel, cognac-leopard-hair-calf-bootie, super shoe!

And now, the question from the Manolo to his readers is what to wear with them?

Yes, your inclination might be to super sexy it up, with the hottest of the hottie clothes, but the Manolo cautions restraint, as these shoes are speaking volumes already. No need to shout.

The contest ends on Saturday, and the prize will be the $100 gift certificate from Zappos. So, as is always the case, it is now off to the Manolo’s Super Fantastic Forums to post your entry.

Now those are some sexy shoes! Though I’m not sure I’d be able to pull those off, I know there are more than few girls out there that could. Probably girls with long legs. lol.

The answer to the question “Why do shoe companies hate tall people?” is a boot with a 4-inch heel? I would look like RuPaul in those things. If you’re, say, 5’6″ and have a size 11 foot, that boot might work. At 6’1″ and size 10.5 I’m looking for a stylish kitten heel or ballet flat.

(Oh, and re the RuPaul thing, I only make such completely outdated cultural references before I’ve had my coffee. I’m sure I’ll think of something much more timely in about half an hour.)

    Those are some mightyfine chaussures!

The Deja could never wear those heels, but being such a leopard print enthusiast, she may have to enter the competition. Hmmm…

I love OptimistPrime‘s entry : “The woman who would wear such a pair of boots, which teeter like a drunken debutante on the border between tacky and fabulous …” I hope I can use that soon; I love the mental picture. Maybe the Manolo could start a new blog for OptimistPrime to write. I find myself craving to chug a magnum of Veuve Clicquot on the grave of Edith Head wearing a peacock fascinator.

Wow! Manolo has found a tall pair boots as he said in the challenge. Gorgeous and sexy boots.
