Marc by Marc Jacobs, Pink Vinyl Pumps

Pink Pumps from Marc by Marc Jacobs Manolo Likes! Click!

Manolo says, the Manolo loves these pink vinyl see-through pumps from the Marc by Marc Jacobs. Rarely has the Manolo ever recommended the vinyl shoes, but these are so delightful.

They are like pieces of pink confectionery –Cinderella’s glass slipper in spun sugar– to be gobbled up joyfully as if one were still the little girl.

Lovely! And I particularly like the ombre effect in the heel– it takes it away from the overdone-and-kinda-trashy clear heel to something more fancy.

  2. Judith in Ymmmbria Says:

If you walk in them, your feet will be ripped to shreds. I lived through the Seventies, and I know.

  3. Angel Says:

I just discovered these shoes yesterday. I totally fell in love with them.

  4. Bridey Says:

Well, vinyl seems like the only material in which this effect would be possible (aside from glass, which would raise some practical problems). These are too pretty to object to their being “plastic shoes,” and I love the see-through heel.

But, along with the feet-shredding issue, over the course of a long evening of walking and dancing, wouldn’t these, you know, tend to fog up?

  5. Heelcandy Says:

I”m on the fence with these. As in I’m not sure if this will make me look like a stripper or be a runway model. lol.

  6. Meg the Florida Bargain Queen Says:

Oh, I adore them! I have no clue what I’d wear them with, but they’re by far the cutest vinyl shoes I’ve seen.

  7. Caitlin Says:

My feet are sweaty and blistered just looking at those. However, as objets d’art, they are lovely.

  8. Jennifer Says:

Vinyl?? The Manolo must have put something funny in the coffee this morning.

  9. LeAnn Says:

    They are just toooooooo pretty!

  10. Discount Designer Shoes Says:

I agree with you. I usually don’t like vinyl shoes but these are so pretty I’m making an exception.

  11. E Says:

Eh? I’m pretty sure that when I wear high heels, what my feet look like from inside, crammed against the shoe, compressed in a slightly akward shape and damp from sweat, is not a nice sight. I’d certainly not want anyone to see, and it would make me feel more than queasy to see anyone else, especially in a saccharine pink orgy of gaudiness (rhinestones?). Bleeeeerk. At best, these are for kinky strippers or for the next Austin Power’s movie.

My instinct is to tear that hideous little ribbon off the toe. Why are those things on every other shoe? They belong on teddy bears.

  13. Naomi Says:

I tried to like these. Something makes me think they would look weird on though. I’m not sure I like the idea of seeing squished toesies.

  14. eowyn_2 Says:

Yes, squished, foggy, painful toes are the reality.

But since when is fashion about reality?
