Congratulations to the Manolo’s internet friend, Miz UV, who was the first to identify the owner of the shoes. Like many, the Manolo finds this little-girl pose, with the left foot turned in, terribly annoying.

I had never noticed that she was pigeon toed till yesterday morning.
No matter what sort of lovely shoes a person could be wearing, that stance makes them look strange and clunky.
That stance is a way for women to make themselves appear younger, weaker, and less threatening. She needs some ballet classes.

I’d almost wonder if there was some physical reason for the odd, left-foot-turned-in stance. It’s in virtually every photo the Manolo used in this contest, except the ones where she’s in motion. Can she even stand still without turning that toe in?
