I'm one of those people that associate people, places, and situations with smells. I frequently smell-compliment people. I love the smell of lambskin leather and the smell of coffee, and I usually cannot resist cologne unless it's either way too much or just a really heady scent, which can actually make it hard for me to breath. I hate food smells, particularly citrus smells and anything that is too woodsy or sugary. I find Chance Chanel absolutely delicious. I love smell. I was charmed that someone had thought to make a perfume with my name and delighted (and a little bit weirded out) to discover that it smelled like exactly the sort of thing I would wear. So of course I got some, because if someone is going to go to the trouble of making a perfume just for you, the least you can do it to wear it. It is so sacred to me that I save it for only special occasions. On a regular basis I dab a few drops of Yves Rocher's Rose Ispahan which I simply adore. I use it quite sparingly as it is available only in the miniature .25 fl oz size. Sadly, I have been unable to locate it in the US and my London source has suddenly dried up. Quel dommage! If as the ubiquitous they say, "turnabout is fairplay", I have to admit that I am caused to swoon when a man walks by me wearing even a hint of the irresistible Kouros. Oh my! Gasp and Swoon.
