Does the Manolo recommend wearing these with bare legs or some sort of covering?
Ayyy, these are beautiful! Perfect! Wonderful! (Note to Kate — I always wonder about that very thing. Hose that cover toes in a peep toe shoe are a no-no, but baby it’s cold outside!)
Well – I would say for sure that if you WERE to wear something with it, it would have to be cute and funky – I would say a pucci-type print knee stocking, or a bright color with the black pair (turquoise, orange, bright pink, leopard). I would stay away from tan/white/brown/black, because then it looks unintentional, and can be construed as tacky. The key is to go for an INtentional look – the “I’m so cool I can wear socks with my open toe shoes” look.
Done with the ostentatious socks, of course.
Otherwise, go bare and risk freezing off your toes – in the name of fashion, of course.

Or, you know… to work.
